Trip Planner/Trip Leader Information
Trip planning and trip leadership is an essential component to Troop 77's robust campout schedule. We need to have each campout/event planned 2-3 months ahead of time, and a trip planner and trip leader need to work together during this process.
These trips will not be possible without adult volunteers
We will need at least one Trip Planner, one Trip Leader and one assistant Trip Leader for each trip.
If we are unable to identify a Trip Planner and/or Trip Leader for some of the more complex trips they will be canceled and we will just go camping locally.
A Trip Planner-is not required to go on the campout
Work with Activity Coordinator to complete logistics of the outing - ina list of expected trip expensesmake activity reservations, etc. (6-8 weeks prior to campout)
Confirm activity plans with Scoutmaster and Trip Leader
Budget and gain Financial approval for
Draft and send “trip sheet” to the Troop
Gather registrations and payments for the activity and log into spreadsheet
Trip Leader (Trip Leader Guide Book)-will attend the trip and coordinate the adults
Assign duties and responsibilities to adults attending the campout and coordinate with Committee Coordinators as needed
Coordinate with Scoutmaster/SPL re logistics, especially departure and arrival plans
During campout, work with Scoutmaster/SPL/Adult Patrol Leader to coordinate schedule of the campout
