Get ready to Kayak and fish or float in a tube down the Etowah river!
start on Eurahlee Creek and continue down the Etowah river for 4 miles.

Things To Remember
Closed toed shoes
The forecast calls for some rain - be prepared!
Dry bag - If you have a dry bag that could fit 6-8 lunches, bring it as we will need Each group will need a dry bag for their lunches. If you have a large one, bring it.
Everyone should bring money for lunch on Sunday afternoon.
Departure options
Those departing Friday night should assemple at OGUMC at 6:00 p.m. Friday. Eat dinner prior to arriving at OGUMC.
Those departing Saturday morning should assemble at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Eat breakfast prior to arriving at OGUMC.
Driving to and from the campout - Scouts will determine whose vehicle they are riding in at each departure from the church.
Things To Do
All participants must sign the waiver for Eurahlee Creek Outfitters. Print the waiver, review, sign, and turn in when you arrive at OGUMC for the weekend. Please do not email them to anyone. Please bring them

For those fishing and age 16-64, you will need to obtain a GA fishing license. Access the GA website here.
Fishing Gear: For those fishing, you will need to provide your own fishing gear so start gathering it, asking to borrow gear as needed. If you need help finding gear let Rob Harrison (rob.n3ikc@gmail.com) and/or Jeff Rogers (jeffrogers0422@gmail.com) know.
Please Note: ALL PARTICIPANTS ON THE WATER MUST BE “SWIMMERS” and have passed the BSA swim test (within past 12 months). Swim tests can be arranged for those who have not passed the BSA swim test.

Weekend Weather
As of this posting, the forecast for Fri, Sat and Sun calls for a good chance for rain and temperatures around 76 during the day and 68 at night.
Refer to this Scout Camping Packing Checklist to make sure you bring everything you need.
When to wear class A uniform
Scouts and adult leaders will wear Class A shirts at the following times:
Friday night or Saturday morning, enroute to Frankie Harris Park (we always travel in uniform)
For Scouts Own Service
Sunday, enroute back to OGUMC
Prescription Medication?
If your scout will be taking medications during the weekend, please have your Scout turn it over to the Troop medical officer on Friday prior to departure.
Complete this Medication Administration Form:
NO prescription, over the counter medicine, vitamins or herbal supplements are permitted in a Scout’s gear.
The Scout’s medication, along with the completed form should be placed in a Ziplock bag.
Medications MUST BE in their ORIGINAL containers. We will be unable to accept anything without the original container.
Please label the Ziplock bag with your Scout’s name.
Emergency medications such as Epi-pen and albuterol inhalers should be kept with the Scout at all times!!!!!
Sunday Return to OGUMC
Scouts plan to depart Frankie Harris Park around 11:00 a.m. After stopping for lunch, the estimated time to arrive at OGUMC is 1:00 p.m. All Scouts will need to be present for roll call and to help unload the trailer before being dismissed.
A message will be sent via Remind on Sunday with a more accurate ETA.
