Campout Description

Back by popular demand!! Mountain biking (or hiking if enough interest from Scouts and Adults) and camping at the wonderful Dauset Trails {www.dausettrails.com} is September's campout.  Scouts will be organized into separate riding groups based on off-road-biking skills/experience levels (novice, intermediate, advanced).  Saturday: loop trail rides of various difficulties will depart from the campground.  Sunday: additional (early) riding for those interested.  Those interested can walk the Wildlife-Exhibit-Trail and the Garden-(and-Scouter-Memorial)-Trail at some point.  Fishing the campsite-adjacent pond is permissible (to campers only).  Hiking the bike trails is possible, provided supervision is sufficient (other hikers will be on the trails).   Scouts need to bring money for the Sunday lunch stop on the return trip.

Review all our campout guidelines here to ensure you know about expectations regarding medical forms, adult training, cancellations, refunds, and the requirement that Scouts participate fully in the campout.

Medical Forms and Adult training (YPT and Haz Weather) are due when registration closes. Work on them now!

Prescription Medication?

If your scout will take medications during the weekend, please have your Scout turn it over to the medical officer when arriving for departure at OGUMC.
