ABOUT ADVANCEMENT DAY

Our annual Advancement Day will be held on Saturday, February 8 at OGUMC. This is a great way for Scouts to select one or two new Merit Badges they wish to work on as the new year kicks off. We will also be running our excellent Orienteering course for any Scouts that need that requirement. For Scouts working on rank advancement (Scout - First Class), our ASM Help Desk will be open (in the morning only) to check off requirements. Be sure to come prepared with your handbook and a list of requirements you would like to complete. The weekend will conclude with Scout Sunday February 9 at OGUMC.

10:00 Opening Flags / ASM Help Desk Opens

10:05 - 12:30 Morning Merit Badge Classes:

 • Communication Merit Badge with Mr. Brewer

 • Family Life Merit Badge with Mrs. Martin

 • (Begins 11:15) Scholarship Merit Badge with Mrs. Henderson

10:05 - 11:30 Orienteering Course w/ Mr. Henderson (After a brief classroom setting, each Scout runs the course at their own pace).

12:30 ASM Help Desk Closes

12:30 - 1:00 Lunch (Bring Your Own Meal and Water)

1:00 - 3:00 Afternoon Merit Badge Classes:

 • Citizenship in the World Merit Badge with Mr. Brewer

 • Collections Merit Badge with Mr. Burek

 • Cooking Merit Badge (Requirement 5) with Mr. Leff (May Run Until 4:00)

1:00 - 4:00 PLC Meeting (Required for Patrol Leaders and Senior Patrol)

Scouts are dismissed after their afternoon class or PLC meeting ends

- Scouts will not be camping overnight on Saturday at OGUMC -
